The facts

Why choose the 1968 Ford Mustang 302?

This magnificent 1968 Mustang, finished in iconic Highland Green, has now been sold. We previously handled its sale several years ago, and it has since seen limited use, covering just 4,500 miles since 2019.

Reminiscent of Steve McQueen’s ’68 Fastback from the legendary Bullitt car chase, this beautifully restored coupe is every bit as captivating. A genuine low-mileage, original black plate Californian car, it remained with its first owner until 2015 before undergoing an exacting restoration to factory specification.

The rust-free body was expertly repainted, the interior renewed to its original San Jose build, and the complete drivetrain and mechanical systems overhauled. Power steering, power disc brakes, air conditioning, American Racing Torque Thrust alloys, a twin exhaust, and a period-style AM/FM digital radio complete the package.

An exceptional Mustang, now in the hands of its new owner, and a fine example of one of the most celebrated American classics.

The years of manufacture are shown from the time each model was produced in the final prototype. However, it’s helpful to remember that a small number of cars fall outside of the production dates shown because they are pre-prototype releases, trials or realised ideas. The numbers of each model produced are best estimates, not exact figures. Even with these exceptions, all Pilgrim’s models have passed the necessary tests of their day and are fully road-legal, low-volume-production motor vehicles.
